We're a firefighter and a nurse practitioner, and both of our careers come with unusually flexible schedules. That flexibility is how we fell in love with travel: every time we both had an off day, we took a trip.
Those trips taught us what makes a stay feel special: a home that's spotless when you walk in, a host who answers right away, and the small details that let you actually switch off. That's where our name comes from. Every guest deserves a real off day.
Today, that same flexibility goes into Off Day Getaways. Our schedules give us full days during the week to be at your property, meet with vendors and take care of guests. With two of us sharing the work, one of us is always available.
Two years behind the scenes at East Coast Escape
Before starting Off Day Getaways, we spent two years in operations at East Coast Escape, a luxury vacation rental company in the Poconos known for five-star stays.
We were hands-on with every part of the business. We onboarded new homes and got them guest-ready. We ran the guest experience from booking to checkout. We handled the in-the-moment problems that come up mid-stay, coordinated vendors, and got things fixed fast. And we worked on pricing and performance to help each home earn more.
Now we're bringing that experience to our own company. We use the same proven systems, and in many cases the same trusted cleaning crews and local vendors. The difference is that you work with the two of us directly.

How much does management cost?
Our fee is a percentage of booking revenue, so we only earn when your home earns. The exact rate depends on the property's size, location and the services you need. We'll give you a clear quote after your free consultation, with no hidden fees.
Can I still use my property?
Yes. Block off the dates you want in advance and the home is yours. We'll help you plan personal stays around your busiest booking periods so you lose as little income as possible.
Who does the cleaning?
Professional cleaning crews we've worked with for years. Every turnover follows a set checklist, and the home gets a quality check before the next guests arrive. Linens and restocking of essentials are part of the routine.
How is maintenance handled?
We coordinate trusted local vendors for repairs, hot tubs, pools, landscaping and snow removal. Small fixes are handled right away. Anything above an amount you set, we check with you first.
Is there a long-term contract?
We keep agreements straightforward and owner-friendly. We'll walk through the terms, including notice periods, during your consultation so there are no surprises.
My home is already listed. Can you take it over?
Yes. We can take over an existing listing and keep its reviews, or set up a new one if that's better for the property. Either way we'll improve the photos, description and pricing.
How will I know how my property is doing?
You'll get monthly statements showing bookings, revenue, expenses and payouts, plus a direct line to us whenever you have a question.
